Anxiety and Depression

Even the Smallest Things Feel Overwhelming

It’s the panic hovering one bad minute away, or the morning you can’t get yourself out of bed.

Anxiety and depression are very real, and very true, emotions.

They’re a symptom of undone trauma and unresolved issues from your past.

Or they’re the result of trauma happening right now, and more acute issues in your present.

Your Unrest Has a Voice

The unrest of these emotions is telling you something.

It’s telling you that something is not right inside of you.

It’s telling you there are unresolved issues, present or past, that need your attention.

Something in you needs to be heard, and it needs words.

You’re Not Imagining These Feelings

Feeling paralyzed, or crippled with anxiety about what to do next, is an indicator that everything is not all right.

Naming your emotions as anxiety and depression is the first step, because it relieves the pressure and normalizes what you’re living through.

You have every reason to feel what you feel.

Nobody in our sessions is going to tell you it’s all in your head.

Find Clarity in What You’re Experiencing

I’m here to help you put words to the feelings.

Together we find a voice for the emotions that keep telling you something’s wrong.

Then we put context to them and connect them to your greater story.

Sometimes that story reaches back to childhood, and sometimes it’s this year.

Ease What’s Acute, Then Reach the Root

My approach to relief is holistic.

When acute symptoms need easing, Eastern or Western medicine has a place alongside our sessions, and I’ll say so plainly when I think it does.

I don’t prescribe, so when medication belongs in the conversation, I’ll connect you with a psychiatrist who does.

Once the acute symptoms ease, we get to the root, the underlying issues that produced them.

Start by Asking for Help

Asking for help is how this begins.

Call me at (720) 608-4782 for a free 10-minute phone consultation, or email mhunt@fourwindscounselingcenter.com.

Tell me which of the two you’re living with right now, the panic or the mornings you can’t get up.

Something in you has been saying it’s not right for a long time. Let’s give it words.

Rule Your Own Life

Ten minutes on the phone will tell you most of what you need to know about whether I'm the right person for this.

There's no script for that call, so ask me anything you want.
